Scouting

As literary scouts at Sanford J. Greenburger Associates, we read and evaluate a wide range of fiction, from important new literary voices to potential bestsellers, and nonfiction, from current affairs to memoirs to self-help, in addition to children’s and young adult literature. We utilize our strong relationships with literary agencies, all the major houses, university presses and independent publishers in searching for the right books for our selective clientele.

We proudly carry the distinction of being the first professional literary scouts. Sanford Greenburger began recommending American literature to his friends and colleagues in European publishing from the agency’s inception in the 1930s. Today, Greenburger Associates remains one of the major international scouting agencies in New York. Our clients include some of the most distinguished publishers in Europe and Latin America.

Since then, she has developed a broad range of experience in the industry as an agency assistant and then as an associate editor at Skyhorse Publishing. She joined Greenburger Associates in 2018 and started her adventure in the world of foreign scouting. When Kirsten is not knee-deep in a stack of books, she can be found watching the latest true crime documentary or trying to pet someone’s dog.
