Jessica Gross

Jessica Gross’s debut novel, Hysteria, will be published by The Unnamed Press in fall 2020. Jessica’s nonfiction has appeared in The Los Angeles Review of Books, The New York Times Magazine, and The Paris Review Dailyamong other places. Jessica holds an MFA in fiction from The New School, a Master’s degree in cultural reporting and criticism from New York University and a Bachelor’s in anthropology from Princeton University.

Hysteria follows a hypersexual, self-destructive young woman who becomes convinced, over the course of 48 feverish hours, that her Brooklyn bartender is Sigmund Freud; pitched as THE PISCES meets PORTNOY’S COMPLAINT.
